Vanrif  fine jewellery is created by jewellery maker Jeanette and her small team from her Sydney studio. ‘Vanrif’ is a combination of Jeanette’s Dutch mother’s and Egyptian father’s family names. With a love of the ancient worlds, stars and planets, Australian flora and fauna and the unusual, Vanrif jewellery is an expression of these elements. ​​Each piece is designed and hand-made using recycled Australian precious metals with traditional silver and gold smithing methods.  Including also the ancient lost wax casting technique. Each piece is bespoke and uniquely made for the wearer, from sawing, shaping, setting, polishing and finishing.​ With particular passion for Australian gems and opals the designs are often created around individual stones to give the jewellery a unique raw energy".  The core value of the label is to create bespoke sustainably focused, everyday fine artisan jewellery, unconcerned with fleeting commercial trends to be passed on as heirlooms, creating a personal history and connection for each wearer that tells their story
